A new beginning for Wandle Valley Regional Park Trust
20th March 2018
Barker Langham were recently appointed as the successful consultant team to lead on the new and ambitious project with Wandle Valley Regional Park Trust (WVRPT). Over the next 10 months, we will work with LDA Design and Architecture 00 to shape the future of the WVRPT by developing new governance structures and management models, producing an organisational business plan and sustainable funding strategy, as well as developing a Landscape Scale Project Implementation Plan.
The Trust currently oversees more than 40 green spaces and 12 nature reserves that cover 900 hectares of public open space in southwest London. The Park is not only a part of London’s rich industrial and cultural heritage, but it also contributes to the overall economic, health and wellbeing for its local community.
The project will transform the Trust to become a more robust and sustainable organisation and to deliver its strategy: Bringing the Park to Life – From Vision to Reality, a Heritage Lottery Fund Resilient Heritage Project.
