Immortalised exhibition opens this month

Immortalised: The People Loved, Left and Lost in our Landscape exhibition will officially open on Friday 31st August 2018, with a preview twinned with the Migration Museum on the evening of the 30th August. This ground-breaking temporary exhibition is part of Historic England’s Immortalised programme, which aims to encourage new thinking about monuments and memorials throughout the country. The exhibition will explore who we remember in the public realm, why certain individuals and events are deemed worthy of commemoration, and what forms of memorialisation are meaningful today. As exhibition curators we developed, sourced and interpreted narratives, content and collections for display. The exhibition is free to the public and will be at The Workshop in Lambeth, London until Sunday 16th September 2018.
