RAF Museum receives HLF funding
13th October 2016
We’re thrilled to announce that the Royal Air Force Museum London has secured £4.6 million in HLF funding for its upcoming Centenary Programme.
2018 marks the centenary of the RAF and this project will completely transform the visitor experience at the museum, telling the history of RAF Hendon through new innovative galleries, a digital sharing project, a revitalised schools programme, and connecting people to the heart of the RAF’s story locally and globally.
At the first stage of the process, Barker Langham developed the project vision and an options appraisal addressing the viability of the scheme, to support the RAF Museum in the development of their HLF application. For the second round of the application, we developed the project business plan, looking at the development of a new visitor centre and restaurant, and ensuring the organisation's long-term legacy.
