Our founders, Darren Barker and Eric Langham are honoured to have been included in the inaugural Blooloop 50 Museum Influencer List 2020 alongside esteemed peers from cultural institutions across the globe. All the nominees were recognised for their leadership and response to the current challenges faced by the museum and cultural industry.
Over the past few months Darren and Eric have spearheaded Barker Langham’s quick and decisive response to the global pandemic, they ensure that Barker Langham’s work for clients addresses the reality of delivering sustainable cultural projects in this ‘new normal’. Steering projects through Covid-19 challenges, immediately reacting and changing ways of working, and incorporating Covid planning and implications into the work produced, meaning clients can be confident the strategies developed are feasible in this new context.
Eric and Darren are both committed to supporting the industry long-term; shaping programmes to develop the ‘cultural leaders of tomorrow’ and taking on pro-bono work. They are at the forefront of innovation and new thinking, with sustainable museum practice central to their vision for Barker Langham and the projects we deliver.
