Each year, in partnership with the National Museum Directors' Council and with support from the British Council, ICOM UK organises a conference on the theme of ‘Working Internationally’. We are thrilled to announce that Barker Langham will partner with ICOM UK to co-curate the 2021 edition.

At a time when major global issues are converging, museums are establishing new ways of working – reconsidering and reimagining their roles in a global and local context. With this in mind, next year’s conference will be a little different: taking place online over three days, with each day focusing on a major global issue, from social justice to the future of museums and sustainability.

Eric Langham, BL Founder, says: “We are incredibly excited to work with ICOM UK and NMDC to explore and debate topics that will resonate long-term in our industry; thinking about our responsibilities to our communities and our planet is central to Barker Langham’s ethos and we are looking forward to assembling a series of dynamic and thought provoking sessions.”

The conference is free of charge for ICOM UK and NMDC members, and you can register at this link. Find more information on the ICOM UK website.
