The Olympic Journey
Highlighting the history of the Olympics
An exhibition at the Royal Opera House was developed to showcase the Olympics from ancient to modern times in The Olympic Journey - The Story of the Games, as part of London 2012’s Cultural Olympiad.
Barker Langham developed the interpretive approach for the exhibition, and undertook content research, collections identification and scriptwriting.
The exhibition was visited by 37,000 people over its 2-week run, including former gymnast Olga Korbut, Sir Steve Redgrave and Dame Kelly Holmes. It was shortlisted by the UK Museum + Heritage Awards 2013 for a Temporary or Touring Exhibition.
