V&A Museum of Childhood

A new exhibition in a historic chapel

  • V&A Museum of Childhood
  • London, United Kingdom
  • 2003

The V&A Museum of Childhood had an ambition to transform its offer through revitalising visitor facilities, re-displaying collections and bringing modern design and innovation into the heart of the museum.

We led the interpretive development of the permanent exhibition, creating a new thematic structure, visitor route and reception. We involved local children in the development of the storyline and graphic designs, and engaged local school pupils in selecting, authoring and designing object captions.

The refreshed Museum won the Visit London Kids Love London Award, 2004 and the 2008 Museums & Heritage Magazine Readers' Award.
