The Qasr al Hosn Festival is an annual opportunity for locals and visitors to celebrate Emirati heritage through a variety of cultural activities centred around Qasr al Hosn, the ancestral home of the Al Nahyan royal family in the heart of Abu Dhabi.

Barker Langham has developed exhibitions and interpretation for the Festival since its inaugural year in 2013. In 2016 we collaborated with digital designers, Obscura, to develop the content and narrative for a spectacular light show and worked with the experience agency People Creative, to provide site wide interpretation, developing a series of tours and educational trails across the site. We completed this work within 10 weeks.

Opened by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the 2016 festival achieved record-breaking attendance, with over 140,000 visitors enjoying the two week event.
