The designated woodland of Swinley Forest provides a home for breeding bird populations and is an important recreational space for local people, who use it for walking, horse riding and mountain biking.

Barker Langham reviewed the existing visitor centre and experience, identifying opportunities to generate more income, and better connect the visitor centre to its forest surroundings through a refurbished hub.

The Crown Estate is currently reviewing the report, and its recommendations will feed into emerging developments at Swinley Forest.
